    What the Labor Covers

The labor rate is not based only on the failed part. It covers the full process required to properly inspect, repair, reassemble, and test the machine.

    Labor may include:

    • Machine intake and diagnosis

    • Internal inspection

    • Safe disassembly

    • Repair labor

    • Reassembly

    • Leak testing

    • Pressure testing

    • Boiler fill verification

    • Pump testing

    • Heating verification

    • Brew function testing

    • Steam and hot water testing

    • Solenoid and valve checks

    • Pressurestat or PID checks where applicable

    • E61 group function checks

    • Cam and valve inspection

    • Basic calibration where applicable

    • Final operating checks before pickup

Pressure profiling models may also require additional checks of the profiling system, pump behavior, control electronics, pressure response, and model-specific operating functions

  • La Marzocco home machines are not typical consumer appliances—they are compact commercial systems. They are built with the same philosophy, materials, and tolerances found in professional café equipment. Servicing them properly requires a level of care, time, and technical understanding that goes well beyond standard home espresso machines.

    The Standard of Work

Service is performed with the expectation that the machine will leave in a condition that reflects its original engineering—not a temporary fix.

    This typically involves:

    • Complete access to the brew system and internal components

    • Precision replacement of seals, gaskets, and wear items

    • Evaluation of boilers, fittings, and internal pathways

    • Calibration of pressure, temperature, and flow behavior

    • Electrical and control system verification

    • Full reassembly, testing, and validation under operating conditions

These machines are densely built. Proper service often requires extensive disassembly to reach components that are critical to performance but not easily accessible.

    Why Labor Reflects the Machine

The condition of each unit directly affects the scope of work. Factors include:

    • Internal scale from water quality

    • Wear across high-use mechanical components

    • Prior service history and workmanship

    • Depth of disassembly required to correctly resolve the issue

A machine that has been maintained well will require less intervention. Others may require a deeper, more time-intensive restoration process.

    What This Service Represents

This is not entry-level service work.

It is the handling of a high-value machine with the expectation that it is returned performing as designed—stable, repeatable, and reliable.

The goal is not to “get it working.”
The goal is to bring it back to standard.

    Models Covered

    • La Marzocco Linea Micra

    • La Marzocco Linea Mini

    • La Marzocco GS3

    Labor Pricing

    • Micra: $350–$550

    • Linea Mini: $500–$900

    • GS3: $600–$1,400+

Labor reflects the level of disassembly and restoration required. Parts are not included. Final pricing is determined after inspection.

  • ASCASO HOME SERIES — FLAT RATE SERVICE

Ascaso machines are thoughtfully designed with thermoblock systems and PID control, which allows for excellent performance—but also requires a more involved service process.

To keep things clear and consistent, labor is structured as flat-rate pricing based on model complexity.

    Tier 1 — Entry Units

    $325 Labor

    Models:

    • Ascaso Dream (non-PID / early units)

    • Basic Steel variants

These units are more straightforward internally and typically require less disassembly, while still receiving a complete service.

Tier 2 — PID Single Thermoblock

    $450 Labor

    Models:

    • Ascaso Dream PID

    • Ascaso Steel UNO

With PID control and tighter internal layouts, these machines require more time for proper access, inspection, and calibration.

Tier 3 — Dual Thermoblock Systems

    $550 Labor

    Models:

    • Ascaso Steel DUO

    • DUO Plus

These machines operate with separate brew and steam systems, which increases service time and requires independent calibration of both.

    Tier 4 — Prosumer / Baby T Platform

    $850+ Labor

    Models:

    • Ascaso Baby T

This platform uses more advanced components and a denser internal design, requiring a full teardown and detailed system-level service.

    What’s Included

    • Full internal access and inspection

    • Cleaning, seals, and valve service

    • System calibration (pressure, temperature, function)

    • Final testing to ensure consistent performance

    Additional Notes

    • Parts are billed separately

    • Any issues beyond standard service will be discussed after inspection

    • Machines serviced in-shop are prioritized to maintain consistent turnaround times

  • Lelit machines are priced separately because many models are more compact internally and can require additional disassembly time compared to similarly equipped machines. The flat labor rate covers the diagnostic process, machine disassembly, repair labor, reassembly, testing, and final calibration where applicable.

Parts are not included in the labor rate.

Lelit Specialty / Modified / Prior Failed Repair Units

    Starting at $500 Labor

Machines with heavy scale, corrosion, pest contamination, missing parts, modified wiring, damaged housings, or prior failed repair attempts may require additional labor. Final labor is confirmed after inspection.

Why Lelit Has Its Own Pricing

Lelit machines often require more careful disassembly and reassembly due to tight internal layouts, compact plumbing, and model-specific access points. The flat fee helps keep the repair process predictable for the customer while covering the time required to properly diagnose, repair, reassemble, and test the machine before pickup.

The labor rate is not based only on the failed part. It covers the full repair process, including the time required to confirm the issue, access the components, complete the repair, test for leaks, verify heating and brewing functions, and make sure the machine is operating correctly before it leaves the shop.

  • ESPRESSO GRINDERS — FLAT RATE SERVICE
